Agate + Druzy Quartz

Agate forms gradually as layers of silica accumulate within cavities in rock, creating the distinctive bands, patterns, and variations that make every specimen unique. In some formations, an open cavity remains where tiny Quartz crystals continue to develop along the surface.

This sparkling crystalline layer is known as Druzy.
